Sports & activities

Here are the sports and activities that can be practiced in the area.
How about it ? A true paradise, isn't it?

On foot

Guided mountain walks - Trekking - Nordic walking
More than a hundred mountain paths, in a wild and unspoiled nature, through woods and meadows, along streams and trails, including ancient farms and alpine lakes, exploring Valsugana and Lagorai. The proposed routes are of a tourist or tourist/excursionist level, which means practicable for all, even for those with minimal training. Your adventure will be accompanied by the majestic peaks of the mountains, the wild animals that you will easily meet along the paths, and not least the rare species of flowers that will colour your way.

Biking

Easy bike - Mountain bike – Racing bike
If you love cycling, this is the perfect destination for you.
Besides the new cycle path from Caldonazzo, that takes you along the river Brenta to Bassano del Grappa, Valsugana offers many exciting mountain bike trails. But also for fans of racing bikes there are many emotions to be lived, such as the mythic climbs of Menador and Passo Manghen. You will find your own personal challenge!

Water

Canooing - Waterskiing - Windsurfing - Sailing - Sup - Fishing - Canyoning - Rafting
For lovers of water sports the Caldonazzo Lake offers many activities, ranging from swimming, sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, canoeing, sup, dragon boat and rowing. You can also rent canoes and paddleboats. There are four boat clubs on the lake, which organize numerous regattas and competitions both nationally and internationally.
Moreover, it is always possible to fish for trout, the brook trout, tench and perch in the Caldonazzo - and Levico  Lakeand in more than 90 mountain lakes, as well as in the various rivers and many streams.
You can also experience canyoning and rafting, on quiet and friendly routes suited for families, or on the more challenging one.

Air

Paragliding
Among the many places that this region offers for free flight lovers and for all those who enjoy living the beautiful surroundings in contact with nature, we propose one in particular: Vetriolo Terme in Valsugana where for twenty years FREE FLIGHT TRENTINO has been operating. In summer, take-offs from Mount Panarotta, with a drop of 1500 meters and a constant thermal regime, are a great springboard for unforgettable flights.

On Horseback

Horse-riding
The horse tracks of eastern Trentino form a dense network that allow you to ride through the regions of Valsugana and Lagorai far and wide. The route runs over 400 km, divided into 15 stages with relative stopping points within the Lagorai chain, that stretches from Mount Panarotta to Pass Rolle.
And for those who just want to take a short ride on the back of these fantastic animals, the area offers many equestrian centres with experienced guides who will accompany you on trips in the valley.

Adventure

Acropark
This is a great adventure park consisting of acrobatic but safe routes for all ages, in complete harmony with nature, to discover one’s own abilities. It is located in the Centa river park, 4 km from the town of Caldonazzo (TN). A double cableway allows to cross the river Centa. The entrance to the park is free, you only pay for the acrobatic routes for which the organization provides everything you need, including a safety procedures course. In addition to the elevated tracks, you will find a path along the river and picnic areas to spend an entire day out in nature.

Culture

If you want to explore a city without driving too far, you can easily reach Trento, Verona and Venice. These three cities are very different, but equally fascinating for their long history.
MUSE… NATURALLY CURIOUS

Since July 27 2013 Trento has a new Science Museum – the MUSE. Designed by Renzo Piano, with six floors dedicated to science and nature, the MUSE presents topics of our present and future. Multimedia exhibits, interactive games and displays make the visit an exciting experience.
In the MUSE the public is at the centre of the action thanks to first-hand experiences and immersive environments. Through informal learning tools - designed for all ages - MUSE explains the wonders of the alpine environment and the nature that surrounds us. Another focus lies in issues of global interest, such as sustainable development and nature conservation which are equally engaging.
The museum is tri-lingual: information is offered in Italian, English and German.

Trips and other activities

But the list could become very long adding Art Sella, the numerous museums and forts scattered over our territory and many other interesting places.
